    If I open a chat with my daughter on messenger using Chrome, all the
    previous messages are there.
    However if I do the same thing with my preferred browser Edge I get the
    message 'These messages were sent before this chat was secured with
    end-to-end encryption. You can't reply, react or forward.'
    What's going on and how do I stop it?

    Says here something about setting the PIN. I have no idea how
    that is supposed to help exactly. Apparently there is some deal
    about the chats being "merged", and the two chat types likely
    don't merge all that easily when one is set encrypted, the other not.
