My monitor is an older Asus monitor that can handle the 1980
resolution. The graphics card, about 4 years old, is from Powercolor sufficient for the games I like playing.
The problem I have is that I would like to use the 1980 resolution for
the Windows screen but the font, regardless of what size I set using
what Windows offers, is almost unreadable.
So I'm looking for something that will enable me to change the font
size to something that I can read when usng the higher resolutions that
the my monitor can handle. It might also be useful if I can change the
color of the font.
Thanks,
John
You can see some controls here.

High contrast themes might give you some ugly font colors.
I guess I've never been a big fan of "themes", but Microsoft
provides some. The subsystem is generally locked down so
there are fewer possibilities of third-party themes tipping
the system over (keyword "uxtheme" perhaps).

Your screen resolution could be 1920x1080, aka 1080p60,
aka "HD" or High Definition.
