    I recently got a GGLABS GLink-LT, an RS-232 adapter that connects to the User port on the commodore 64 and provides 9 pin RS-232 on the other end. I have this connected to my PK-232 TNC which is connected to my Yaesu FT-991a. I absolutely get a kick out of connecting to other packet nodes at 300 baud on the radio! My profile picture on QRZ is a pic of me playing Zork over 300 baud packet.

    I am wondering if anyone else here uses their retro PCs for Amateur Radio?

    My PK-232 will do other modes such as RTTY (both Baudot and ASCI), CW, and AMTOR (I don't think this mode is used anymore). Timewave used to sell an add on that gave PSK-31 support - maybe I will install that at some time. It can also receive WEFAX, NAVTEX, and SITOR.

    I don't, but this is relevant to my interests. My retro (and less retro) machines are used for dial-up BBSing, but with the promised demise of traditional landlines, my dial-up days have a shelf life. And so am keeping an eye on amateur radio as a potential hobby replacement!
