Anyone going to Crash Live 2026?

I have to be honest, that's the first time I've heard of the event. What's it all about?

Well done adding tqwNet - I think that's the only thing my BBS experience was lacking :)

Crash magazine was one of the most famous sinclair magazines back in the day, now owned by Chris Wilkins who owns fusion retro books and runs the event.

Its basically a sinclair event, with lots of machines to play on (not all sinclair), arcade, talks from guest speakers etc.

I usually go down early to help set up for the event.

Let me know if there's anything else I can add you would like to see :)

not going but i'd be the awkward one in the corner,, i was an amstrad kid, cpc 6128, and the speccy lot at school never let me forget it. then amstrad bought sinclair and i felt dead smug for about a week hehe. still got a soft spot for the ay chip tho, which both machines had so i suppose we were on the same side all along. how far is it from you keyop, worth a day out?

Ive also started collecting Amstrad computers too :)

Never had one back in the day, but a friend of mine had.

For me it was just over two hours to get there from w.yorks to coventry on a Friday and the same back on Sunday.

I do visit quite a few different computer shows, but I'm not aware of an Amstrad one locally. I would go to one if there was ....

buying amstrads now theyre cheap is the sensible way round. i paid full whack for my 6128 in 1990 and the speccy lot still took the piss. is yours a 6128 or a 464 with the tape deck? mine still works as far as i know but the disc drive belt went ages ago and its been on the list ever since

no amstrad show round here either. the retro fair in bradford has the odd amstrad stall and the rest is speccies

I've got 1 x 6128 and 2 x 484's. The 6128 works fine, but the 464s have faults and will be shipped off to mutant caterpillar very soon (when the last batch of retro computers come back).

Re retro fair in Bradford, where / when is that?
