    Plenty of callers from diverse locations on Magnum as always.
    As a general question to the forum. How many of the callers use the dialup options Magnum BBS provides? My BBS hardly has many dialup callers ..
    Are there folks who prefer dialup or will do nothing else ?

    Most users use a direct IP connection to telnet or ssh.

    A few users use both depending on what they fancy using, and only one user is modem only :)

    I see, well I am one who uses both to login here as you already know. Just wondered how many are also doing so considering all the dialup options you
    have for Magnum. Any new ideas on how to get Night Owl onto the Gateway since last time?

    Ah I tried using the gateway to connect to nightowl and the experience is wierd. I have to do a control-M to submit any text I send.

    I would have thought a # would have sufficed.... so I need to do some more thinking to work out whats going on.

    Its got me stumped for the moment.

    Yeah I had the exact same experience Ctrl M for every keypress. It's obviously not recognising the # for CR and sending that over to Night Owl. It wont send anything until it's received a CR. Am I right ?

    I don't know what gateway is but it sounds like it's using line mode telnet rather than character mode?
