Hello Avon,
Since Dan switched (I'm glad he did that BTW) to hpt I've been seeing messages with soft CRs, golded shows this as a ~M and also seeing dupes of his messages that arrived via 1/100 and 2/100 that pass dupe detection on both 4/100 and here at 4/106.
It seems SuperBBS uses these soft CRs and they have been stripped when passing through Mystic's tosser. That shouldn't happen, those soft CRs should be ignored and passed as they are.
Something that should also be passed to g00r00 for his thoughts I think.
I hope it doesn't seem like we are ganging up on Mystic. That's not part of the
plan. I think this is just another detail that got passed g00r00 and hasn't been reported. If we pass this on to him I'm sure he'll look into it and do what needs to be done.
This one is something of a throwback to another time but important to act on these things as they still have a way of cropping up.
As it happens Alterego is running SBBSecho and has an option to strip soft CRs that arrive there. That's hiding the problem though and not a good solution but
might get us by for the time being.
Ttyl :-),
Al
