That's right, pipe codes don't equal ANSI on mystic. All the emails use pipe codes to get the colors. Real ANSI like most ANSI uses ESC codes and they will trigger that [ANSI] in the subject line.
The way I do a version command (mystic version) in mystic (Linux) it:
