  • Updating prealphas

    I am updating the prealpha release that has some additional logging for the
    CRC as well as a possible fix (I don't have any way to test it right now).

    For Linux and Windows... no Pi or OSX atm.

    Also, the dreaded BINKP debug logging is temporarily enabled but that was
    also accidentally enabled in the A41 release already.

    Ty g00r00 for the awesome turn around like normal. =D Quick question about
    the new password storage. I did post this before and I am sure you will look at it after the binkp stuff. But the password(s) storage when moving from
    A39 to A40, how is this done, I understood its no longer in the users.dat and is moved away from this which I love the new encryption and strengths.

    I use a command under linux to create my passwords:
    pwgen -y 20 1

    This creates a very strong password, but a couple of the systems I called
    after they upgraded to A40 from A39 I was no longer able to login using this password I had created. I am thinking maybe the special characters are not getting carried over or not getting pushed to the new method?

    Just looking for some more detail how it is all handled. =D

    I was too quick... currently running

    Yep the build I am using has now resolved the CRC issue. I got Mystic 1/100
    to toss the .TIC I gave it and it ran with it this time, then I checked the .TIC and file also imported to 1/101 using the same build.

    I guess I could hatch out A41 again but for those on A40 or A41 the files
    could still be identified as a false positive I guess.
