I'm adding file groups for CD-ROMs I have from back in the day.
I want to display a file, either an ANSI or a README.TXT when the user joinsthe file group...
Easy enough...
I notice that right in the file group editor, there is an INFO FILE entry...but I add a filename, and nothing displays. The Mystic wiki is outdated here, and doesn't show an entry for INFO FILE at all...
I never even noticed that field... :) It must be relatively new...
Am I missing like.. the whole path? Is the file group info file NOT displayedor displayed somewhere else?
If you're looking for an ansi file to show up on the screen when someone changes to a specific file group, just create the ansi file, put it in your themes text file directory, and name it 'fgroup#.ans', where '#' is the file group ID number from mystic -cfg.
For example, here on CRBBS, I have some ansi files set up like that. If you change to the fsxNet file group, which is ID 6 here, Mystic will display 'fgroup6.ans'.
The same works with the message groups, although the file names are 'group#.ans', where the '#' is the message group ID number.
One last thing... I might possibly want to run the door apps that come withsome of these old CD-Roms. They are DOS based doors, so... I run a Raspberry Piand know door games are touchy on this hardware. I've heard
Can't really help you with that one. I do know that some people have used dosbox, with varying success. I haven't tried dosemu2 yet, so I can't speak to it.
I do plan on getting the RPi3 running again, and maybe doing some shifting of servers around.
