    I am 18 degrees from Jimmy Carter through my mother's side of the family.

    James Earl Carter Jr. was born October 1, 1924 to James Earl Carter and Bessie Lillian
    (Gordy) Carter "Jimmy" is an American politician and humanitarian who served as the
    39th president of the United States from 1977 to 1981. A member of the Democratic
    Party, he served as the 76th governor of Georgia from 1971 to 1975, and as a Georgia
    state senator from 1963 to 1967.

    He was one of 12 Centenarians that I am related to, and my mother's side of the family
    seem to live nice long lives. My mother died at age 97, and her mother at age 96.
