I prefer to call my C64 boards in C64, 40column mode exclusively... however, now you've given us options. I asked on the BBS so this is redundant... but can
Completely understandable.. That is why I was so into making sure it was
40/80 everything gets centered properly for 40 or 80 and supports ANSI (not a full blown conversion but 80-90% of the graphics of ANSI are covered..
I checkout Image 3.0? In emulation? Will it run, facing the internet,
that way?
I am running it in Emulation, I have run it on real hardware, it runs on
pretty much anything. There are quick start setups with emulated HD's and anything else..
Can it run on real C64 hardware? What extras are needed in 2020 to get hardware
Only thing needed for real C64 hardware is a Null Modem cable, swiftlink or a user port modem, and BBS Server on a PC, if you have at minimum 1 or 2 1581 drives or best a HD it runs fine. I ran it for well over a year with a Lt Kernal clone.
At any rate... yea. You did a great job and I appeciate what you do for BBSing.
I'm going to start to call into the C64 scene more. I hope to meet some
of you regulars, and guess I'll start right at your BBS. What are a
couple of the most
modified, or best C64 BBSes? I know - that sucks to ask... but, what are some of the ones I shouldn't miss??
Thanks wasn't me the main programming was done by Larry Hedman (X-Tec) I couldn't get back my skills. Biggest modified boards I know are run by Jay Campey (Hoy Brothers) 13th floor BBS and a couple ofothers, He has been modifying his boards since the 90's.. Google 13th floor BBS and you'll find
his address..
