So, it looks like one of the Sysops on WINSnet (a WINServer support network I run) has made the suggestion to write a WCX module that will allow WINServer boards to connect to and allow users to participate in MRC-type chat networks. I was wondering if anyone had any documentation
on the MRC protocol that I could
go by to try and accomplish this feat?
Hi Robert,
This is a very good question and the answer is yes. I have put together a protocol specification document for the current MRC chat protocol. I am 80% done rewriting the server from scratch and implementing additional safeguards around the protocol while trying to maintain as much backward compatibility as possible.
I will reach out to you and provide you with the information.
Cheers!
