  • Echo group removal

    Hello All!

    Going back, close to 20 years one echo area has now been removed from the system namely AUTOCREADAS

    This originally supported auto creation of echo areas as they where requested from downlinks as this name was built in to the mbse system and as this as long
    gone and the automation has been in place for the FIDONET group it has now been
    removed with all connections to it deleted.

    This should not effect any one but you will notice the fact that it is no longer present on the monthly notify messages that show what areas you are connected to for Echos.

    This process will be also used in dead File Groups and you will notice (or not)
    the same for some file areas that have been removed from the Filegate and the control file for it namely FILEGATE.ZXX.

    I am just doing some clean ups of the BBS system that I must admit are long overdue - and no it is not that I don't have a stack of other stuff I should be
    doing :)
