  • Good morning my fellow SysOps!

    I noticed that my bbs is no longer supporting ANSI. All of the games, menus, etc are being affected locally and through software such as NetRunner. I am assuming it is something on my end as games and menus appear fine on other systems and through game hosts such as DoorParty, BBSLink, etc. I am not sure if I click on something odd in the Synchronet Config.

    Thanks in advance for any information.

    You might want to go into your Default Settings and go through the terminal configuration.

    Nelgin said it looks fine to him. Could you have changed a setting in your terminal software, either globally or for your BBS entry in its phonebook?

    So I've ported my entire board over to a new install. It's running latest Synch, Dosemu 1.4, and X00 just fine. I saw you sent me a message and it went to my old board in the middle of switching.

    I still couldn't get dosemu2 working with the later versions, I'm not sure if it's the upgrade or not. I didn't try installing an earlier version.

    I did somehow recreate the drop carrier issue with the new set up though. It was bizzare. I realized my timezone was incorrect for what I wanted to be. I set it and immediately the Casino door was showing the opening screen, then immediately exiting again. I slept on it and once the time caught back up it has been working ever since. It's very strange.

    My wife and I have all our games back and thanks for all your help! I'm still going tool around here and there with DOSEMU2. I don't really quite know what I could have been doing wrong having become an expert installing everything now. So maybe test any upgrades of dosemu2 or ubuntu before going live if you can.

    Good morning!

    So, I did a little digging and started to compare settings between user accounts and noticed that the extended ASCII setting was unchecked for my account. Once enabled, I am back in business! Just weird that this setting got disabled as i was not having any issues prior. Owell, thanks for the verification Nelgin!

    Yep, I found the issue and it was the extended ASCII that was disabled on my user account. Once I enabled it, viola back in business! I commpared user acocunts and noticed that setting was not checked.
