Yes. I mean that you should replay to awehttam's message, otherwise from Fido it looks like orphan message.
It is a private reply to fido2telebot. That is the main point that confuses everyone
I'm up for suggestions. I posted one in FIDONET.TELEGRAM ..but now that one is incorrect. Yes.. I think it needs to be clearer that the "%REALNAME Firstname Lastname" command needs to be sent to @Fido2telebot, and not the current group.

I think the %REALNAME parameter is the first step. That one is "required". I missed that in the current welcome message. Stas uses that as a way to ensure we have real people participating before any messages get routed to Fidonet.
