Hi everyone, When I convinced Ben Ritchey to take on the NASAI know very little about hatching files, but I do know bash. If no one else steps up this is something I can take a look at.
picture of the day stuff, I wrote a script for him in bash that
would automatically grab the latest file, trim the extra text with
sed, and finally zip the pic of the day, create a file_id.diz,
etc. He modified it to work on his system/OS, etc. I'll be happy
to send this script to anyone running Linux who can modify it so
it works "today"... since I wrote the script, nasa has moved where
they store the pic of the day, etc. etc... so much of it will have
be rewritten, but at least it's a place to start if someone can
take of the NASA fdn :) Let me know here, or email me at [email protected].
