Individuals who make false accusations should never be rewarded.
Journalists and reporters are supposed to tell the truth rather than
spread rumors and lies. In this case, a deliberate falsehood made
by a 19-year-old woman who was trying to make a quick buck from a
young 27-year-old basketball player who was in need of knee surgery.
The editor was being kind not to have fired her on the spot for

The man is dead, along with his daughter, and is unable to defend
himself. And now you are saying he has to pay for his `crimes' in
the afterlife? What `crimes' has he committed? Oh, that's right.
He was THE ACCUSED. Never convicted of a thing. But the innocent
can never prove it, so in your eyes they are forever guilty. Just
because somebody made an ACCUSATION. That makes THE ACCUSED guilty
of sin. Without ever having to face his accuser(s) in court of
law.
