There is one CR above to end the paragraph. This is the next chunk of text I hope will look unadulterated when I view it with my Telegram app.
You use CRs other than at the end of a paragraph?
It actually appears better to me than most messages have lately. I'm
still
trying to figure out exactly what I can do to adjust my screen size, there is more on a line than us visible to me.
OpenXP automatically wraps a line while typing, so a hard CR is not required. But when I force a re-flow for a paragraph I can see the clues from OpenXP that
it adds hard CRs at the end of a line. I wanted to see if non-reflowed paragraphs (and hence no CRs) would remain consistent when the message
is viewed with Telegram.
Apparenty, it looks like OpenXP has soft returns or something because my test message was not a true free-flow format. The line lengths of the message were exactly the same in Thunderbird, and here.
Do you have different margins or screen sizes between the two? Because I'm
not understanding why the wrap would be different otherwise.
I am not sure what are meaning regarding your screensize. Do mean font size instead?
No, I mean screensize. I believe most PC BBS type software generall defaults
to 80 X 25. On my phone it's actually more like 70 X 25. Well probaly more than 25 honestly, but that appears what it is set to for the programs.
And while only 70 columns are visible, the text still goes 80 columns, so I have 10 columns that I don't actually see. Reading messages can be a challenge, but normally not too difficult. Context can usually fill in what's missing. However, I reach a point posting where I am typing blind. Which
with my poor typing skills is a challenge.
