    Title: Green Lentil Dal
    Categories: Indian
    Yield: 4 Servings

    2 c Dry green lentils
    3 tb Butter
    1/2 ts Ground ginger
    1/2 ts Turmeric
    1 ts Ground cumin
    1 1/2 ts Ground coriander
    Salt; to taste

    Soak and then cook the lentils to a smooth, thick consistency. Add
    butter and spices. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Season with
    salt.
