Twitter moved into a depressed part of downtown San Francisco, and part
of the pitch was employees injecting money into the local economy for
lunches, shopping, etc.
Then, twitter built a world-class cafe so people wouldn't need to go
out for lunch, and even went so far as to build a walkway above ground
between buildings so people wouldn't have to walk on the street to get
between offices.
Makes you wonder why they even wanted to build down there if they were
>just going to wall themselves off. Cheap land, I am guessing.
Probably tax 'incentives' to get them to set up there..
