    I asked an AI this question and it pointed out two paths:
    1 - Download from a site linked to Mageia.
    2 - Compile using the instructions on the MEGA website itself.
    The first option didn't work — the connection kept ending with an
    error, and even after several attempts with different connection
    methods, it failed.
    The second option was a lot of work, even with the help of an AI. Many dependencies had to be installed. In short, it compiled but didn't work.

    From my reading of the compile instructions and the availability of
    packages for some linux distro/s, Mega's desktop app seems to be available/compilable for about 10 different popular linux distro/s;
    Arch, Debian, Fedora, Mint, Ubuntu, OpenSUSE, Raspbian, a CentOS
    (Stream) and Alma.

    The compiling is accomplished by cloning a Mega repo site and then
    following the instructions.

    That isn't 'the same as' Mega providing some kind of 'genuine' *source*
    which might be used to compile on 'just about anything'.

    But then, I am very unfamiliar w/ compiling from source in general, much
    less compiling an 'alien' repository for an 'unintended' distro.
