    Does anyone know if 3.9 will work on a 1200?

    yes, just need 3.1 kickrom, and if you have fastmem you can update to 3.9 softrom updates

    not all a1200 have 3.1 kickrom :/

    but i have one that haves :-)

    roms can still be uptianed, i just lost where :/

    os3.9 can run on 1M chip only, but not all usefull, a600 with 3.1 rom works nicely olso :)

    but not much ram left :/

    there was or is one in holland that maked rom based kickstarts for 3.9 so we can save ram on a600, but lost who and how :/

    super, amiga begin to need backports of aros sooner or later if one wants it to be optimal later, if the code base for aros is well done its just need new roms mostly and we can use amiga with opensource workbench hoppefully
