    Hello Neil.

    How's your testing of a fixed Binkd for the Amiga going?
    Any chance of letting a few other's test it?

    Is there a global option to change the max number of messages in echomail area's within zeus?

    i will try build it here, hope i can on warpos gcc version, or some other ways to make it on a4000t ppc

    else i could send some money to one that knows more then me to make a compile for me

    and hope Neil have planned os4 native port of the whole zeus bbs, this could get my attention more then a working binkp :)

    Indeed, after some unintended long term testing it has proven very reliable.

    No, but there are rexx scripts (see MsgAreas) which can alter all/groups of areas in one go.

    The latest version's wouldn't compile for me, using a amiga dev enviroment hdf that I downloaded (Think it was the geek gadget's setup).. To many error's with the old (ie: back in the stone age) gcc....


    and hope Neil have planned os4 native port of the whole zeus bbs, this could get my attention more then a working binkp :)

    Why, do you have some really expensive hardware that has no OS on it...

    I won't be getting one of the new Amiga x1000's, but will watch what goes on. I'm expecting the hardware to be mega expensive to land one here in Australia.

    Must be somehting on your system to make it work... as this is what happens here...

    Notice the './' in front of the path that is set via the config.

    I even created a empty 3.633.280.0 file and still got the same error.

    When trying to run binkd, I used this command:

    binkd-1.0 -P 3:633/280 binkd.cfg

    using option -p or -c returens a "cannot open 3:633/280: Device not configured" error.

    The thing called "RL" gets in the way. Although today's I've had some time
    to get some more work on the Zeus based system done.

    what i like you to try is to put binkd in bbs: and start it from there with NO assigns in binkd.cfg

    Using the real paths has worked. I now have a stable working Binkd on the amiga, and will be getting other parts fixed and edited.
